The atollo lamp is the best example of a classic lamp. It was invented by the Italian designer Giuseppe Mazzini in 1780 and is still produced today. The lamp was made with a copper base, a copper wick and copper chimney.
The design of this lamp has been copied widely, but only few manufacturers produce an original version of it now. The reason for this is simple: it’s very hard to make an original version of such a classic design.
