Die Hängelampe ist ein dekorativer Fries, der 1927 vom deutschen Art-déco-Architekten Alvar Aalto für das finnisch-schwedische Bauunternehmen Aalto entworfen wurde. Es ist ein Kunstwerk und wurde als „das schönste Objekt Finnlands“ beschrieben.
Art Deco ist ein Architekturstil, der zwischen den 1920er und 1940er Jahren in Europa beliebt war. Es zeichnete sich durch seine kunstvollen Details und die Verwendung heller Farben aus.
